In a Galaxy Far Far Away...

...We celebrated Wyatt's 6th birthday! We were in Big Bear with all of my family over the weekend, and instead of asking them to come to yet another gathering when we got back from our trip, we decided to bring the party up the mountain. In years past, we only invite immediate family to the kid's parties becuase, after all, our immediate family is quite large, but it was really neat to celebrate the birth of our son amongst the entire extended family, and our closest family friends.

Wyatt has been planning the themes to his future parties since he was 3 years old. And FINALLY I got to do the Star Wars party!!! I purchased a Star Wars cookbook a few years ago, and have been excited about this party ever since. The party decorations were quite lame...pretty much non-existent...so unlike me. But where those lacked, the food more than compensated...everything turned out incredible! Our guests for a galactic breakfast enjoyed:

* Star Wars shaped pancakes
* Tie Fighter Ties (pigs-in-a-blanket shaped like Darth Vader's Tie Fighter spaceship)
* Princess Leia's Buns (homemade cinnamon rolls)
* Greedo's Grits (Paula Dean's cheesy garlic grits...pure deliciousness!)
* Boba Fett Bacon
* The Force Fruit

A few hours later we sat around the tables, decorated some Star Wars shaped sugar cookies and drank a glass of Yoda Soda...7-Up and a big scoop of lime sherbert!

2 weeks ago while I was flossing Wyatt's teeth, we discovered that he had his first loose tooth. He was over the moon excited about it! And what was even cooler than having his first loose tooth, was losing that tooth up in Big Bear where about 40 adults couldn't wait to play tooth fairy that night! Wyatt is the first of the grand kids to lose a tooth, so this was all very exciting...and emotional...yes, we are THAT ridiculous!

Happy Birthday to my FAAAAAAAVORITE son!!! (Today is his actual birthday.)
